Concurrent Manufacturing Solutions Expands Mexico Sheet Metal Production Capabilities
Concurrent Manufacturing Solutions has completed a significant upgrade to its sheet metal fabrication capabilities at their Matamoros, Mexico facility. The company upgraded the powder coat paint line and added a new CNC Turret Punch with brush table. The upgrades will enable Concurrent to paint individual fabricated sheet metal items up to 48”x48”x96” to a very high quality level. This enhanced capability allows the company to meet highly demanding aesthetic and corrosion resistance requirements and fabricate unpainted sheet metal items without inducing surface scratches.
These paint line improvements allow the company to effectively utilize a wider range of high-durability powder coat technologies which are more resistant to moisture, chemicals, ultraviolet light, chipping, corrosion, and fading. These improvements also enable Concurrent to consistently meet the finish requirements of GR-487, including the 1000 hour salt fog test.
The company’s new turret punch has a larger maximum punch size (3” – 4 ½”) and accommodates more tools per job, which enables more complex geometries with a single set up. This upgrade increases Concurrent’s capability, capacity, quality and efficiency.
